On Saturday, the swimming event was finally held successfully. This was the longest distance I've ever swum so far, 10 km. It started at 6 AM and since I was worried about the schedule, I woke up at 4:30 AM to get ready and eat well for such a demanding effort. I arrived just a few minutes before the start. We were split into 3 lanes, each with different intervals. The lane I was in, along with 3 other people, had to swim 100m every 2 minutes, the next lane was at 2:10 and the last at 2:30, for those not used to doing 100 sets of 100m.
During the activity, I felt that the coach shortened the intervals for the 100m. Among the 4 of us, to keep the first swimmer from getting too tired, we rotated the starting order every 5 sets. So I tried to hold back in the first 5 sets to avoid starting too strong. After that, I would go last among the four, then move up to 3rd, 2nd, and 1st again. Whenever I was in 1st, I made use of my stroke technique, breathing, kicking, and wall turns to move efficiently without burning too much energy. Most of the sets where I started first, my times were between 1:24 to 1:29.
Each of us was responsible for bringing our own supplements. While most people brought electrolytes to salts, water and sweets, I only brought two 500ml bottles of water and ten small sugar coated banana sweets, each in its own wrapper, inside a small container. Depending on my position in the order, I had to start opening the wrapper of a sweet before the next set started, and then eat pieces of it after the set. Sometimes it took two sets to finish one sweet. When we got to 1:40, there were only 10 seconds left to chew, since the coaches had shortened the interval from 2 minutes to 1:50. I believe this was after we had swum 5,000 meters.
I managed to maintain my pace without overdoing it at the start, rationing my food and drinking my supplements carefully, small sips every other set, so as not to fill my stomach with water. I ate one banana sweet every 1,500 meters, only near the end, around 8,500 meters, I decided to eat two, because I was starting to feel a lack of strength in my strokes and kicks. I finished the 10,000 meters without any injury. I even felt like I could swim more. Since we were in the fastest lane, the other two lanes hadn't finished yet. According to a colleague in our lane who had a watch, we completed 10 km in 3 hours and 12 minutes, in a 25m pool, doing 100 sets nonstop. That same friend decided to keep swimming to accompany those who hadn't finished yet and he ended up doing 12,500 meters total... unbelievable. D:
After I finished, I "ran" for a cold shower. It was refreshing. I even wanted to go to the sauna to relax my body, but I wanted to take a picture with the group as soon as they were done. So I bought myself a 500ml "aΓ§aΓ" with banana, strawberry and condensed milk, very good, super cold, but very sweet haha. After eating and waiting, we took pictures and everyone went their own way home. When I got home, I had lunch with something salty and went to lie down for a bit, but without sleeping so it wouldn't affect my sleep at night. I had some coffee and lay down again, to avoid falling asleep, I watched the animes I've been following. I spent the whole day going straight to the bathroom, I don't know if it was the sweets or the "aΓ§aΓ" with condensed milk.
Boku no Hero, it was a very fast paced episode and the next one seems like it will be too. I know the anime genre isn't romance, but I would love to see some couples forming, even if implicitly. I thought Shoto's brother had died... This anime doesn't hold back. It shows what many others don't, the consequences of battles, with many characters missing limbs, or with scars that will never disappear and even heroes retiring.
To Your Eternity, now I'm even more confused about the Nokkers. I still think they are connected to Mizuha's ancestors. If I'm not mistaken, one survived in her arm...
Spy x Family, finally Anya earned a star. I felt Damian's relationship with her progressed, but I expected more and I didn't think his mother would be so problematic. Poor kid, it really seems like a classic case of a mother rejecting her son when he tries to take inspiration from a bad father or she want child never grow up.
Gnosia, this time the Watcher role was introduced in the anime, another role from the game and they changed the ending of this loop. I found it interesting and pretty scary, to think that the girl managed to scare even the Gnosias, managing to eliminate both them and the humans. The next episode looks promising, where we will finally see the protagonist infected by the Gnosia. Maybe more explanations about what Gnosia actually is will come up. Sometimes I wonder, if it can infect AIs and humans, could it be an organic cybernetic virus created by some other being? Humans are usually the ones responsible for creating things like that.On Sunday, I took the morning to give the house and bathrooms a full cleaning, then spent the afternoon resting.
Today, I did it, I finally managed to surpass myself and did 12 pull up. Coincidentally, today is the first day of December. I got even more excited after this achievement and decided to go for a run. Unfortunately, I felt a bit of pain near my knee again, so I iced it and applied the proper ointment for these situations.
People3_7, the Clown, I'm not afraid of Clown, but to me, the Character version looks scary or like a villain. While the first one has blue hair and a skinny look, the other is blond and seems bulkier and the makeup is heavier.
People3_8, the Bunny Girl, another essential design π in any RPG, like the Clown, of course π cough cough. She doesn't change much, she's basically the same character, just changing the shape of the bunny ears and I adjusting her leotard a bit. I tried giving her fuller lips like in her Face/Bust art and messier hair... I don't even want to imagine animating that later. π£
