😥 Damn... my throat... 😷

The diary keeps going work, I passed 10 posts a few days ago!

Today I woke up with a scratchy throat (will probably get inflamed), in the middle of this heat but with strong cold winds, it must have been because of that. Or maybe because of the crazy stuff I did over the weekend. He he he.

The day stayed hot and muggy, no rain. Today I trained legs a lot in swimming, which made it hard to do the leg exercises at the gym. I still feel sleepy and tired, I think it’ll take me a while to recover. The worst part is my throat like this, I bought a natural remedy to keep it from getting inflamed...

It seems like the Actor2 set had only a few changes in their designs, so they look similar.

For Actor2_6, the difference is in the hair, the strands are pointing more upward, making curve. For Actor2_7, it was more about the accessory and I tried to add facial expressions to the small character sprite. I’m not sure if it ended up being too accurate to the point of standing out from the other characters or just looking weird.

Both are classified by her as Black Mage. If I follow the logic of comparing magical elements with design colors, I’d guess Actor2_5, with its blue tones, would use water/ice magic, while the old man among the black mages would be aligned with fire (with red tones) and maybe earth, while this girl might be lightning or wind and the witch (Actor2_8) would have more elements but weaker ones, with her specialty being dark, kind of like Oscar in Evil!?

Well, anyway, the one who decides that is whoever makes the game, but I like playing around with assigning elements, class/fighting/weapon styles to character designs.

A really “short” weekend… 😩

Since I was already make the routine of swimming and gym on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This past Saturday I ended up following my usual exercise routine in the morning, even knowing that at night I'd be attending an event with lectures that had me walking🚶‍♂️ about 15 km (we even ran in some parts) and doing some aerobic exercises I'm not costume to do🥵... and only getting back home the next day. That left me exhausted and I practically didn't even see the weekend go by, it was gone in a blink. Sunday, I then napping twice during the day, which messed up my sleep at night. The good part was that there were lots of people there, close to 150 or maybe more, I don't remember the exact number, at least 150 crazy people along with me. ha ha ha

Today I went to the gym, back to my routine, but this time I really felt my muscles fatigued, so I decided to take it easy, it's not good to get injured. Then I went back home, worked and studied.

The characters I edit were Actor2_3 and Actor2_4. Just like last time, they didn't go through as many drastic design changes as the two characters from last week. She classifies them as White Mage 02, though to me the blonde girl with the red beret looks like she brings in other magical elements beyond just white magic. "A character's design can tell a story", right? 🤔... 

And the man looks to me like he belongs to some troop/division/group of clerics coming from frozen lands, almost like a uniform.

Another week coming to an end 📅

Time is fast, we’re already getting close to the end of the month and soon enough to the end of the year. After I down in bed last night, it took me a while to fall asleep. I still felt sleepy during the day today😪 , but at least I managed to rest a little more, and I feel like I still need to improve my sleep. Today I went to the gym and decided to run on the treadmill… honestly, I didn’t like it. Running on a treadmill while staying “still” in an enclosed space doesn’t make me feel comfortable. I prefer running outside, but since it was very windy and I didn't have a proper clothes, I was worried about getting sick from the cold wind. I worked and studied for the rest of the day, reviewing what I went over during the week.

I’m considering keeping the Diary just for weekdays and leaving weekends without posts. I won’t always be home on weekends to write and work on pixel art for the RTP characters. Maybe I’ll bring some of the things I did over the weekend into Monday’s post.

Today, characters are the ones that had very little design change between their face (bust) and character. They are: Actor2_2 and Actor2_3, the white mages🧙‍♂️ .

🌬 Drastic change...

Unlike yesterday, the morning was very windy and cold, so I was surprised and regretted not bringing my parka for swimming. I went to the gym and even though I did two workouts back-to-back, I felt like I managed to pull/lift more weight today than I did yesterday on the machines and dumbbells. When I got home, I took advantage of some free time to finish yesterday's assignment. After that, the same weekly routine. I saw that the Marvel Zombies miniseries had just come out, I wonder if it's any good? I'd love to see a "What If" with Deadpool versus Marvel, like in the comics.

This time I managed to work on 2 characters: Actor1_3 and Actor1_4. There wasn’t much difference between the two artists’ designs this time, I think...

While tweaking the color palette and fixing some pixels that bothered me when looking at certain characters, I noticed there’s a difference between the 2 DLCs (Pre-Order Bonus and VX&XP Hero) that I’m using as reference for making the RTP characters in another style. Even though one of them has a higher image resolution, it seems like there are cropped busts in the most “recent” RTP DLC for MV, while the older Pre-Order, some don't... by the way, too bad VX&XP Hero ended up incomplete because of its own name, only “Heroes”. (ノへ￣、)

Why is it so heavy!? *ugh 🔩💪😓

Wow, today’s workout was tough. I struggled to lift the weights I managed yesterday and on top of that, I swimming yesterday… Maybe it’s because I to bed late, I don’t help myself 👉👈. I was anxious to watch the last episode of Alien Earth, without giving spoilers, liked the episode and the series as a whole. There are some loose ends to continue the story, but that’s normal for any new show. I think it paid off and they’ll probably renew it to keep developing the character arcs that are interesting to me. It’s a shame that people today seem to have no patience to watch series, they just want everything right away… if that’s the case, then what’s point of making new seasons!?

I’ve kept the same routine: work, study… and working on a commission be working for the next few days.

Today I was able to work more on the palettes and edit this character.

After doing the interview with her, I feel regret for not asking what the character creation process was like, because there are differences in hairstyles, clothing and sometimes even colors between faces, battlers and sprites… This happens in other versions of RPG Maker too… 🤔

Before I knew it, the day was ending fast ⌚

Once again, I didn’t sleep well, I had trouble falling asleep last night. Today went by quickly. It’s Tuesday, so I swam, go to gym, worked, lunch, went back to work... etc...

I couldn’t make progress on the RTP VXP today. I really need to improve my sleep so it doesn’t affect me the next day and today I was pretty busy 😞. So here are some sprites from other versions of RPG Maker (not XP&VX/Ace) you may have already seen them in my account another platforms, I’ll be revising the palette XP&VX/Ace, for now.

Rain, finally yeaaah! 🌧

I woke up before sunrise because of a mosquito 😭, was too tired to use electric racket 🦟⚡🎾. I made coffee and omelet, I went to the gym. Today I increased my weights, it's not good to get used to the same weight for weeks. Ideally, you should try to increase them, even if it's just for your last set of 3, I ran to home for 17 minutes 🏃‍♂️.

It finally rained in the afternoon, It was so hot and muggy over the weekend, I was waiting for rainy days to return to improve this dry period. The problem is the lightning, I've lost material and projects because of this years ago... I worked and studied at night 📚.

Unlike this weekend, this time I made them:

Actor1_8 looks so different from the MACK version (Art Directress, Characters, Tilesets of RMVX/Ace) and the Fumio Minagawa version (Face Graphics of RMVX/Ace). Fumio reminded me of actor Sean Connery, while MACK version reminded me of my uncle °▽°, they even look like different characters...

while Actor2_5 looks younger on the right and more adult on the left...

I was thinking the changes I made to the theme to separate the diary label posts from the home and older posts had been resolved... but it seems not and after further research, it seems it's because Blogger still considers diary label posts counts post per page, even if these posts aren't displayed on the home page. I consulted someone to help me with web services and he recommended other option... if Blogger can't be used, I'll be using another service. D:

Yesterday it was an owl, today it was a damn mosquito that made me get up to kill it. That's the tricky thing about the heat, mosquitoes... I got up early, made my coffee... and was left to fix the Blogger theme 😖.

I couldn't pixelate anything today. (#｀-_ゝ-)

So hot... 😵

I’m not sure if I should keep a routine for the weekends. Maybe I’ll take a break from the internet on weekends to rest, resting is important too 😤.

I woke up early because of an owl hooting. It took me a while to fall back asleep, and I ended up getting up later this morning. After lunch, the weather changed a lot, it got really hot and stuffy, that kind of muggy heat that wears you down or makes you feel unmotivated. Summer (Actually... it's in December 😭) is definitely here, and I can’t wait for it to rain 🙌.

I spent part of the day organizing and cleaning some folders, nothing much new...  /_ \

No training today :v

The gym didn’t open today 😢, so I couldn’t work out, unfortunately, since it’s important to keep consistency in training. The body really feels the lack of exercise... I worked, had lunch, worked again, then studied at the end of the day and watched Peacemaker. The new universe being developed by James Gunn seems promising, kind of rekindling my excitement for the superhero genre(?).

I’m glad she liked the pixel art gift. I wasn’t sure what to draw, but I ended up deciding on a cake 🎂. Anyway, here are some more updates on the color palette process and checking the sprites I’ve already made.
